This course welcomes anyone who is curious about breathwork! It is sequenced systematically & is meant to be taken in order. In the beginning modules I will familiarize you with basic concepts of breathwork/pranayama. Then we will learn pranayamas and then practice them together in a class. We will master the basics first in order to unlock the more advanced practice. Even if you have practiced breathwork before it will always be beneficial to revisit the basics. We will learn individual breathwork techniques/pranayamas and then directly after practice those pranayamas together in a class so they are fresh in your mind. This practice will require consistent commitment from you. Just like any practice, your commitment will pay off as you discover you are able to dive deeper than ever before into your personal practice. Pranayama allows you to more deeply connect to yourself, your inner energy, and the energy that surrounds and connects all of us. Pranayama allows us to explore our yoga to depths you have yet to discover. This discovery allows you to see how everything on this planet is connected. The more aware you become the more you will be able to understand how your actions affect others. My initial advice to you is to prepare a location that is free from distraction that is accessible to clean and fresh air, it is extremely helpful if you can plan out a time that is consistent for you to practice daily. This course is intended for anyone who is interested in learning more about breathwork/pranayama. If you practice yoga or meditation, this can be a lovely addition to help enhance your spiritual practice & connection to Self. If you are a Registered Yoga Teacher this will count as 27hrs of Continuing Education on techniques, training & practice, and teaching methodology. Accredited by the Yoga Alliance. However, you DO NOT need to be a yoga teacher to take this course. You also don't have to be a yogi or active meditator either. Perhaps breathwork is calling to you due it's many benefits for nervous system regulation and you want a tool to help you manage your stress and anxiety.
