N-SPREAD is a mono-compatible pre or post-fx maskable stereoizer.

Generating stereo information from a mono signal can be challenging as most stereo-fx introduce partial mono-processing and can cause smeared transients, chorus like movement, comb-filtering and phase inconsistencies.
N-SPREAD focuses on delivering one of the most effective ways of generating mono-compatible stereo by creating a parallel simple delay with one of the LR channels being phase inverted. This creates an incredibly clean and mono compatible stereo effect that can be adjusted in time for different sounding stereo placement and depth.
This trick comes with an obvious flaw which is the delay process. Even though the stereo signal doesn't affect the mono signal, noticeable "comb filtering" can be heard, which in many cases sounds very artificial and is an easy sign for a post-added stereo effect.
To remedy this, N-SPREAD lets you diffuse the generated stereo channels by modulating each LR channel with 40 frequency-bands with noise-modulation, eliminating a lot of the comb-filter sound from the stereo-signal and generating a much more organic sounding stereo image. This effect can be amplified for more atonal percussive/noisy elements where the comb filtering can be more obvious.
On top of the spread diffuse, you can saturate the stereo signal which will increase the harmonic richness of each stereo-ized channel and serves to glue the artificially produced stereo-image further.
Lastly, N-SPREAD offers a bandpass which you can use to focus the stereo generation onto a certain frequency area. This way you can either just stereoize the highs or make sure you have now lowend-stereo when not desired.
FEATURES:
•SPREAD: The amount of stereoization. N-SPREAD is a parallel effect, which means it will not touch the original audio signal, even if it already contains stereo information.
•TIME: This adjusts the delay's time offset. The time depends on the input signals length, transient-reliance and texture.
•SPREAD DIFFUSE: This lets you gradually mix in the 40-bandpass noise-modulated stereo-signal. The default value of 50 is a recommended amount as values higher than this can cause excessive differences between the texture of the mono and generated stereo signal.
•SPREAD DRIVE: This lets you saturate the generated stereo signal. There is partial gain compensation to control the balance of the stereo signal to the mono signal.
•SPREAD BP: a simple bandpass with adjustable center-frequency and width. This lets you focus on a certain frequency area that you want to generate stereo on.
